The Federal Trade Commission is suing Amazon for not having done enough to prevent children from making unauthorized in-app purchases. Considering that Amazon was unwilling to settle with the FTC, the move was expected. The unauthorized charges in question were between 99 cents and per consumer, usually involving virtual items in games and apps. Parents were billed without their consent, so the FTC is going after Amazon to prevent future cases. Read the rest here
