A large screen e-reader is a must for technical books. Ditch the keyboard, make it touchscreen, and maybe shave an inch off the screen size (I find the 8.9″ screen to be the best compromise), but keep, or improve the resolution.
And reduce the price!

They ABSOLUTELY have to keep Kindle DX. Simply, there is no other reliable similar product on the market. Not all people are interested in reading the love stories…

They should definitely keep the Kindle DX, or improve on it. I use mine daily for reading books and PDF documents. The screen size is just perfect. I also own an iPad and an Android tablet but none of them come anywhere close to my DX in terms of comfort on the eyes.

I agree with Pat, they need to keep the Kindle DX. I do have an IPAD, but I prefer to do all my reading on the Kindle because of the e-ink technology. I already use two devices with back-lit screens. The Kindle gives me and my eyes a break from these devices with a better reading environment.

YES they should keep the Kindle DX. I use mine hours every day. I want a large screen, and I bought a Kindle DX instead of an i-Pad because I want to be able to read outdoors, that is, I want e-ink technology. If I can’t read outdoors, I will go back to my old practice of reading on my laptop. The laptop already has color display, internet capability, AND a comfortable keyboard.

re Erinn’s remark about finding files. You have to go to menu and ask to “sort by” either “title” or “author”,etc and then it will come up alpahabetically.

The only problem I have with this wonderful ereader is reading in full sunlight – can’t. Great in the dark and in the house but not able to read outside in sun.
